Scenario
Dallas’s journey into alcoholism began during his sophomore year of high school. Pressures from his academically competitive environment and a turbulent home life made him seek an escape. His parents’ constant arguments and the high expectations placed on him became overwhelming, leading Dallas to turn to alcohol as a coping mechanism.
Initially, it started with casual drinking at parties, but it quickly escalated. Dallas found that alcohol temporarily numbed his anxiety and stress, providing a brief respite from his problems. Unfortunately, what began as occasional drinking soon turned into a regular habit, as he increasingly relied on alcohol to manage his emotions and escape reality.
By the time he reached his senior year, Dallas was already deeply entrenched in his addiction. The more he drank, the more his academic performance and social relationships suffered, creating a vicious cycle. Despite recognizing the damage it was causing, Dallas struggled to break free from his dependence on alcohol, finding himself more isolated and exhausted than ever before.
